Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! How did that happen so fast?! It’s usually around this time that food bloggers (or at least me) go in to excited/panic mode. Excited because we get to cook a BUNCH of stuff, serve it to/test it out on people we (presumably) like spending time with, and enjoy the food too. Yes! But then the slight panic/scatterbrained-ness sets in. Pretty sure I just made that word up. Oh well.

Between pinterest, my cookbooks, magazines, and the internet in general, there are probably a MILLION (no exaggeration) different thanksgiving recipes to choose from. And aside from the few absolute favorites my family has every year (that I would NEVER hear the end of if we didn’t serve), I like to try out some new things every year. Because sometimes we love those SO much they turn into favorites too. Like the first time I served browned butter brussels sprouts with bacon and toasted walnuts, inspired by Jessica. And this ridiculously delicious paleo play on a traditional stuffing with butternut squash, craisins, apple cider, bacon…you get the idea. Yep, I’ll be posting that one soon DON’T worry. But besides those, I don’t know what to make!!

What are YOU making for thanksgiving this year?? Here’s some great recipes floating around the internet from some of my favorite bloggers right now!

Butterflied Big Bird (Spatchcocked Turkey) from Nom Nom Paleo. I made this last year and it was DIVINE. It looks funky. But TRUST ME it’s perfectly cooked and delicious!!

Healthy holiday recipe e-book from Diane Sanfilippo. MAN this woman has so many ideas and turns out recipes and cool projects like it’s her job. Oh wait, it is. She ROCKS.

GF gingersnap cookies from Against All Grain. These would make a great pie crust!!

Savory bacon butternut squash souffle. An oldie but a goodie from Juli. I tested this one out this week and I’m DEFINITELY making it for turkey day!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Pecans and Maple-Balsamic Vinaigrette. Deeeeefinitely making these.

Pumpkin Almond Butter Whip from Pampered Paleo. I predict that this is going to be a serious addiction problem…very soon.

Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich. Did you see this when Steph made/invented it last year?? Sweet potato buns, turkey, brussels sprouts, and cranberry sauce. Good luck picking it up, let alone fitting it in your pie hole. (see what I did there??)

Fig and Cinnamon bread with sweet potatoes from Emmas Paleo.

Bacon, Chicken & Broccoli Spaghetti Squash. Totally unrelated to Thanksgiving, but totally delicious. Plus Rebecca made it, and she’s awesome.

Pumpkin spiced waffles with bacon-butternut syrup. WHAT?!

Pumpkin panna cotta. Yesssss two of my favorite things. Italian dessert + pumpkin!

And don’t forget about the two Thanksgiving recipes I’ve posted so far: Applesauce and Ginger-Apple Cranberry Sauce!
