Get excited. I’ve got not one, but FIVE new recipes comin atcha today. For halloween!! And you don’t have to worry about any crazy ingredients you can’t pronounce, yellow #5 or red #293402938 being in there…like in most halloween candies. Sad, but true.

DSC_0088This is what happens when two food bloggers get together around Halloween season. Kitchen explosion. Tons of ideas (and food) flying around, tons of pictures, tons of goofing off. Me and Rebecca from The Sweet Defeat semi-destroyed her kitchen, but it was totally worth it. Don’t worry, we cleaned up. Can’t be having any roommate freakouts around here. And SO fun. The two of us had a LOT of energy, sarcasm, and youtube video quotes flying between us while we were cooking, which makes for a really good time. Watch out world. Make sure you check out her post about what we did too for more awesome pictures!!

Here’s the thing…neither of us really cooks with recipes. We just kinda look at things, throw ideas around, and see what works. But this time we actually wrote things down so you guys can enjoy them too, and we don’t have to curse our seriously short-term memories when we want to make them again. But maybe that’s just me with the Dory-sized memory. Are you excited?! Good.

Here’s what we made:

Creamy Broccoli Avocado Soup (in a Black Pumpkin Cauldron)

The Pumpkin Spiced Macarons recipe are an easy, delicious and tummy-friendly way to finish off any halloween meal. If you’re wondering, we didn’t eat the candy corn. But it’s great for color!
