Today we’re not talking about how we get adrenal fatigue in the sense that i want you guys to put yourselves in a state of hpa axis dysregulation, downregulation, cortisol resistance, or adrenal fatigue, whatever you want to call it. We ARE talking about the lifestyle choices you may be making that are putting you on track for hormone dysregulation, chronic fatigue, amenorrhea, and all the other lovely symptoms of adrenal fatigue that can put you in HPA axis dysfunction, which, as we know now – have long ranging effects from weight gain, to thyroid problems, autoimmune issues, digestive issues, food intolerances and sensitivities, general inflammation around the whole body, and feeling totally burned out all the time.

But before we go into the most common lifestyle factors and choices that can contribute to the perfect shitstorm of symptoms that has commonly become known as adrenal fatigue, or whatever you want to call it, i’m going to tell you a little story, so you can see what this looks like in real life – and how it might not be that different from where you are right now.

Keep in mind – if any of the changes we talk about in this episode scare you or are triggering for you, it’s probably EXACTLY what you need – and you need to take a step back and think about WHY that’s so scary for you. Those things that scare you, once you work on them and get to the root cause of WHY they’re so scary for you, are going to be the most impactful changes you can make for your long-term health.

  1. I have been loving listening to all of your podcasts! (Sort of binge listened) I’m wondering if you could touch more on testing? I know you did an episode that went into some details on food intolerance testing (I did do the Balanced Health full scan), but I’d like to know what types of tests I could/should request from my doctor? Please keep up with the amazing content!

    1. Hey Raisa! Thanks so much 🙂 What kind of testing do you mean? For food intolerance testing, or other kinds of functional health tests aside from food testing?

      1. Other types! Working through alllllll sorts of health issues, and I’m wondering how I can check for more things related to HPA Access Dis-regulation. Maybe I’ll send you an email!

      2. Other related tests would involve hormone testing (things like thyroid, estrogen/progesterone/DHEA ratios), and then depending on the root cause of what’s going on, it could be multiple other tests as well – like liver enzymes, CMP/CBC, etc. Definitely send me an email 🙂
