This week Cristina and I did a webinar to preview some of the content we’re going to be covering in Break the Diet Cycle, our 8-week course that breaks down diet culture and works towards healing your relationship with food and your body. We both HATE when webinars are *just* a massive sales pitch, so we made sure to make this webinar very content-driven, and we took a lot of listener questions about dieting, portion control, and weight loss that I wanted to share with you guys on the podcast!

Here are the questions we covered:

  • Why don’t diets work?
  • Why are we all so obsessed with eating healthier and less than other people?
  • Is dieting innately unhealthy?
  • Does breaking up with diets mean that you have to be okay with not losing weight any more?
  • I’m goo with eating healthy foods, but have a hard time with portion control…

And don’t forget this: Weight loss and body positivity are not mutually exclusive, but weight loss cannot be the goal. You can’t be pursuing body positivity and body loving, and at and the same time be meeting any pursuits necessary to lose weight.

We go SO much deeper into all these topics during the course, but wanted to share a little snippet of what the course is going to be like!
